Here are a few things to check before bringing it in for service:
1.Check that MUTE is not activated.
2.Check that the speaker button is only selected for the set of speakers being used. Example: If you only have one set of speakers connected to the receiver you must have only speakers (1) selected on the front panel. If speakers (2) is also selected you will receive no sound from the receiver.
3.Check the speaker wiring and connections to see if anything has come loose or to see if there is bare wire. If so, fix the connection or replace the wire.
4.If the tuner is selected as the source make sure the FM or AM antenna is connected and the station is tuned.
5.If you are listening to FM radio be sure that FM mute is not activated. This will mute out any received FM radio stations
